Meet the Provider

What it’s like to work with me

My approach is thoughtful, structured, and transparent.

At the beginning of each visit, I take time to understand what has been going on, how the problem started, and how it is affecting your daily life. I evaluate how your body is moving and explain what I am seeing in clear, straightforward language.

Before treatment begins, I walk you through:

  • What I see during the assessment
  • What I think is contributing to the problem
  • What I see your options are
  • What I recommend doing about it
  • Why I believe that approach makes sense
  • What the treatment plan is
  • What markers to watch for improvement

Nothing happens without your understanding and consent.
I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and confident in the plan we create together.

A structured plan, not guesswork

Early on, I provide a realistic idea of what your treatment process may look like — how often we may need to work together, what kind of progress we’re looking for, and what factors may influence recovery time.

Some conditions improve quickly. Others take more time, especially if the issue has been present for a while or the body has developed compensation patterns.

As your body responds, I adjust the treatment plan rather than following a rigid or open-ended schedule.

Throughout care, I help you track meaningful changes, such as:

  • pain levels
  • ease of movement
  • muscle tension
  • activity tolerance
  • how long improvements last between visits

This helps you understand whether treatment is moving in the right direction.

My clinical background

I have completed specialized training in the EXSTORE system, an advanced orthopedic acupuncture approach developed by Anthony Lombardi.

Dr. Lombardi is widely recognized for helping bridge the gap between traditional acupuncture and modern musculoskeletal medicine. His work emphasizes a scientific, biomechanical understanding of pain and injury, focusing on how muscles, joints, and nerves function together.

EXSTORE is designed to:

• identify dysfunctional muscle patterns quickly
• target treatment more precisely
• improve neuromuscular coordination
• support recovery from injury
• reduce persistent pain patterns

This approach is commonly used in orthopedic and sports medicine settings because it provides a structured way to assess movement problems and apply treatment in a targeted, repeatable way.

In simple terms, it helps me be more specific about what to treat, where to treat, and why.

I hold a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Institute for Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ICAOM) in Honolulu, Hawaii, and have completed over 3,000 hours of hands-on clinical training.

My practice focuses specifically on orthopedic and musculoskeletal pain, including conditions affecting the muscles, joints, and nerves.

About Me

Movement has always been an important part of my life.

I have practiced Tai Qi Chuan for many years, which shaped how I understand balance, coordination, and how the body generates power efficiently. Over the past three years, I have also spent time studying dance, which deepened my appreciation for control, rhythm, and the relationship between strength and fluidity.

I regularly lift weights, practice calisthenics, and enjoy yoga-based movement to maintain my own physical resilience. These practices influence how I think about injury recovery — not just reducing pain, but helping the body return to confident, capable movement.

I am married to a wonderful man, and together we are preparing to grow our family. Building a stable and meaningful life at home is very important to me and informs the way I approach my work — with patience, long-term thinking, and care.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy meditation, dance, hiking, travel, volunteering, and participating in Toastmasters, where I continue developing my communication and leadership skills.

I believe health is something we build over time through consistent, thoughtful choices, and I try to live in a way that reflects the same principles I apply in practice.

If you value clear communication, informed consent, and a structured approach to treatment, you will likely feel comfortable working with me.
